DESCRIPTION:Join Filip Coumans and Martin Dean for this webinar around The 6 things you need to do to reduce SIF exposure \nThe 2010 study on Serious Injuries and Fatalities (SIFs)\, led by Dr. Thomas Krause\, demonstrated that only a small subset of workplace incidents have the potential to result in a SIF event. This principle is now commonly known as the “triangle within the triangle.” We have also learned that the precursors to SIFs differ significantly from those associated with minor incidents. \nAt Krause Bell Group\, our approach to SIF prevention begins with a fundamental premise: to prevent fatalities\, organizations must reduce SIF exposure. Any initiative—whether focused on training\, safety standards\, EHS systems\, or leadership development—will only be effective if it reduces or eliminates exposure to serious injury and fatality risks. \nHowever\, achieving this is easier said than done. Organizational culture\, leadership behaviors\, and business decisions all have a profound impact on workplace safety. \nCulture—“the way we do things around here”—often “eats strategy for breakfast\,” significantly reducing the effectiveness of safety initiatives.
